Body discovered at Cromwell boat launch

CROMWELL, CT (WFSB) - A body was found at a boat launch on the Connecticut River in Cromwell, according to police.
Police said they first received a report about it just before 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
The Cromwell Fire Department also responded to the launch on River Road.
When everyone arrived, they said they found the body of a man in the river.
The unidentified man was recovered and removed with help from firefighters.
“The investigation is being handled by the Cromwell Police Department Detective Division and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner,” police said in a news release. “This appears to be an isolated incident with no threat to the community.”
No other information was released.
