Lorin Richardson

Lorin Richardson is a Meteorologist and Reporter at WFSB. She has completed the 17 courses required for the Broadcast Operational Meteorology Program at Mississippi State University and is currently taking more courses online to get her Bachelor's Degree in Meteorology. You can see her forecasting on Weekend Mornings and reporting during the week on the evening news as well as on Great Day Connecticut.

Lorin comes from FiOS1News, a previous cable TV station that served Westchester, Long Island and New Jersey where she was a weekend Weather Anchor & Weekday Traffic Reporter. She also launched a feature fitness segment there for many years known as "Fitness Friday" and worked at the station for about 6 years.

She grew up in Trumbull, Connecticut and loves being able to forecast weather in her home state! Lorin graduated from Trumbull High School and also the Bridgeport Vocational Aquaculture School where she really gained her passion for marine science. She then went to Roger Williams University in Rhode Island to complete a Bachelors Degree in Communications back in 2009.

Lorin started her career as a One Man Band Reporter down south in West Virginia and North Carolina, then moved back north to be a Traffic Anchor in Connecticut for several years. In her free time, in addition to tracking the weather- she loves to spend time with family and friends. She is a proud mom to her toddler son & corgi dog Ollie, she loves to bake & try new workouts, she's also passionate about finding a cure to Alzheimer's and volunteers with the Connecticut Alzheimer's Association.
